6-   In the ‘New Gradebook window (Select how to create . . .), make sure the radio button (circle) next to ‘Create using class rosters’ has a dot.

Click on: Next.

7-   In the ‘New Gradebook window (Click next to select a class roster . . .), click on Next.

8.   In the ‘Import Files’ window, Click on the down triangle (q) on the right side of the ‘Look In’ box.

11.  Double-click on the ‘225’ folder.

12.  Find and double-click on the <your teacher number> folder.  (Example:  Walter Rhyner’s teacher number is 402 so he will double-click on the 402 folder)

13.  In that folder there should be a file: CL<your teacher number>.GRD. (Example:  Walter Rhyner’s file is CL402.GRD),

Double-click on the <your teacher number> file.

14.  In the ‘New Gradebook’ window (The class roster file you . . .),

check the ‘Teacher Code:’.  Be sure you see your teacher number and your name.

15.  In the ‘New Gradebook’ window (You can edit your name . . .),

Click on ‘Set Password’.

16.  In the ‘Password’ window,

Type a password.  Notice that what you type shows up as astricks instead of the letters.  This is to keep someone from getting your password by watching you type.

Click on ‘Next’.  (Note:  Be sure that you remember the password exactly as you type it.  Integrade has a very good file encryption algorithm that is extremely difficult to get around.)

17.In the ‘Password’ window (Please re-enter your . . . ),

Retype your password exactly as you did the first time.

Click on Next.

18.  In the ‘Password’ window (You have specified that . . .),

Click on ‘OK’.

19.  In the’New Gradebook’ window (You can edit your . . .),

Click on ‘Save’.

20.  In the ‘Save As’ window, you must supply two things: a name for your new gradebook and the location to save the new gradebook.

Integrade automatically puts the cursor in the ‘File Name’ box.  Type the name you want to name your new gradebook.  There’s nothing required in the name of the gradebook.  Give enough information to identify this gradebook from other gradebooks, but keep the name as short as you can.  I recommend you use your first initial, last name, the nine weeks you will use this gradebook, and the school year.  (Example:  wrhyner1-2003 for Walter Rhyner, 1st nine weeks, 2003-2004 school year.)

Next you must provide the location to save the gradebook.  Integrade will automatically open your <teacher number> folder.  I recommend this folder.  You may save the gradebook on your local hard drive or a floppy by changing the folder in the ‘Save In’ bar.

21.  When you have provided a name for your gradebook and a location for your gradebook, click on ’Save’.

22.  You will see your students’ names.

When you close the gradebook remember to SAVE.
