John Johnson administrators, faculty, and staff, along with parents, students, and community members believe that our students will meet or exceed state standards.  We also strive to empower our students to become the best possible learners as well as knowledgeable and responsible citizens.

The John Johnson Elementary learning community will reflect an environment of high expectations of our administrators, faculty, staff, parents, and students.  Members of our learning community will meet these expectations through:

●          Being committed to continuous improvement and providing ongoing professional development

●          Facilitating positive relationships between community members, parents, staff, students, and faculty

●          Collaborating with one another on a regular basis on curriculum, instruction, individual students and school improvement initiatives;  and

●          Closely monitoring the academic progress of students and supporting those who require additional assistance.

John Johnson's School Council is composed of school staff and community leaders who serve as an advisory committee, and offer invaluable input for the decisions made by administrators.  The 2007-2007 School Council members are:  Kathy Varner - Principal, Karen Ragan - Teacher, Kristy Young-Curran - Teacher, Billy Walker - Memorial Hospital, Ginger Jones - Propex, Grechelle Blocker - Parent, Brian Fabacher - Parent.
