Dr. Larry J. Clark -- Prinicpal

Dr. Larry Clark is a graduate of Bainbridge High School. He attended Morehouse College where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education. The following summer, he enrolled at Florida A&M University and later completed double Master's degrees in Middle Grades Education and Health and Physical Education. Dr. Clark later enrolled at Troy State University where he earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. He then enrolled at NOVA Southeastern University and earned an Educational Specialists Degree in Educational Leadership. A few years later, Dr. Clark began his studies toward a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership, also at NOVA. He was fortunate to complete that program in 2001.
Dr. Clark has worked his entire career in the Decatur County school system. He has held the positions of teacher, coach (football and track), and is still the principal at Jones-Wheat. Dr. Clark has a great passion for his work. His personal philosophy is "Find a job you like and you will never have to work a day in your life." This has certainly been the situation with him because he truly enjoys working with the parents, students and staff at Jones-Wheat Elementary!!
Mrs. Ruth Rennick-- Assistant Principal

Mrs. Ruth Rennick received her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University, as well as her Leadership Certification. She received her Specialist degree in Curriculum, Instruction, Management, and Administration from NOVA University. She taught second grade for eight years in Mitchell County, GA; and first grade for four years at John Johnson Elementary before becoming an administrator. Mrs. Rennick has been the Assistant Principal at Jones-Wheat for eleven years, and is in her 29th year as an educator/administrator. She is married to Chuck Rennick and they have three children, and one granddaughter. Her spare time is spent reading, jogging, and traveling.
