Ø Gator Grams:  were not sent home today.  The next scheduled Gator Gram will go home on Monday, March 29th.

 

Ø No School:  Parents please remember that the Decatur County School System will be furloughed Thursday and Friday of this week, March 11th and 12th.  We will NOT have school on those days.  Students will return to school on Monday, March 15th.  The next scheduled furlough day will be Friday, April 2nd.

 

Ø PTO:  will meet briefly tomorrow night at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Ø Time Change:  is March 13th.  Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead 1 hour that night before you go to bed.

Ø Spring Pictures:  will be Wednesday, March 17th.  Group/class and individual pictures will be taken on this day.  Order forms were sent home today.  Please note that class pictures must be pre-paid on the day pictures are taken.  The class picture with folder costs $14.00 and the class picture without the folder costs $12.00.  Checks should be made payable to Owens Studio.  Picture proof order forms of the individual pictures will be sent to the school at a later date.  *There will not be a retake day for spring pictures.

Ø Report Cards:  will be sent home March 18th.

 

Ø 4th Grade Parent Luncheon:  will be Thursday, March 18th.  Reservation forms were sent home today.  Forms are due back to your child’s teacher by next Monday, March 15th.

 

Ø Pizza Hut Day:  will be Tuesday, March 30th.

 Ø Spring Break:  will be April 5th through 9th.  *Please note that due to a scheduled furlough day, students will not attend school on Friday, April 2nd.

Ø CRCT Testing:  will be April 19th through April 23rd.  Please make a note on your calendar and avoid making doctor’s appointments during that week.  We are striving to have perfect attendance!  Testing will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m.

 

Ø Looking Ahead:  *Field Days will be April 28th and 29th. 

*Kindergarten screening and registration for the next school term will be May 4th.  Please note that the child must be present for this screening.  More information about these activities will be forthcoming.

*Scheduled Furlough day:  Friday, April 30th.
