· Parents, if your child is a car rider, please make sure you have your name tag in the front right window in the afternoons for easier pick-up.

· Now that the weather has turned cooler and your child has started bringing his/her jacket to school make sure that their name is printed clearly on the inside label.  There are many jackets and sweaters located in the Lost and Found.  If your child is missing something, please go by the gym to see if one of these belongs to your child.

· November 13th is National Young Readers Day.  Here are 8 ways to become a great reader:  1. Read every day. 2.  Read out loud with someone else. 3.  Read about things that you like.  4.  Take a book with you where ever you go.  5.  Read everything you can, like maps, menus, signs, newspapers, and magazines.  6.  Talk about what you read. 7.  Keep a log of what you read.  8.  Be proud of your reading accomplishments.

· Now that Flu Season is upon us we need your help.   We have had several students test positive for the flu.  If your child is not feeling well or has been running a temperature, please keep them home to keep this from spreading.  It is also imperative that we wash our hands.  Encourage your child to wash their hands often.

· We will be having:  “A Celebration of Thanks”.  A WBE tribute to the Veterans presented by the Singing Wildcats and WBE Student Council on Monday, November 12th @ 9:15 am on WBE TV.

· Pre-K is going on a field trip to Kolomoki Indian Mounds on November 13th.  The children will leave school at 8:45 am.

· Student Council is helping Pre-K collect blankets and socks for the Salvation Army.  We are asking the students to participate by bringing in new or used blankets and new socks for the needy.  You may send these items until December 6th.
