· · We are mid way through the 1st Nine weeks of school. Please remind your child to put forth their best effort. · Students in grades 3rd and 5th will be taking the ITBS test September 18th,19th, & 20th. Please make sure that your child is at school on time every day, has eaten breakfast, and gets plenty of rest. · It’s that time of year again—we need you to send in the Campbell’s soup labels and Box Tops for Education. Make sure that your child’s name is clearly printed on the back. We will begin drawing for ice creams on Fridays for all of the students who have brought these in. · Pam Alexander will be visiting all AR students who have met their goal for the first nine weeks of school on October 24th. · We will have a diner recognizing PAW students for the month on the last Friday of each month. If you would like to send a dessert for the diner please contact your child’s teacher. · Thank you PTO for the wonderful lunch you provided for the faculty and staff. · Thanks to all of the parents who worked the Pioneer Day Activities. The students really enjoyed themselves. · Family Fall Festival will be held on October 2, from 4:30-7:30. We will begin collecting/purchasing small toys, games, etc. for prizes. If you would like to donate any items please contact your child’s teacher or the front office. Also, if there are any parents who own or are affiliated with a business that might like to sponsor an event please contact Mrs. Hildy Conder or the school. · Kindergarten parents please remember that your child needs a second Varicella (chicken pox) vaccination. If your child has not received the 2nd vaccination by now it is imperative he/she do so as soon as possible. This is a new State of Georgia requirement. A student should be kept out of school until his/her immunizations are up to date. |
