Team Goals and Discipline |
|
We are delighted to welcome your 8th grader to the Apple Team. Our goals for this year are: 1. To foster an appreciation for education. 2. To build self-esteem. 3. To teach responsibility and self-discipline. 4. To provide a safe learning environment. We want each child to reach his or her fullest potential. This can only happen if there are minimal disruptions in class. Each class on the Apple Team will maintain a discipline book. If inappropriate behavior continues, after being fairly warned by the teacher, the student’s behavior will be documented. When a student receives three entries in the discipline book, a student conference will be held with the Apple team teachers. If the behavior continues, a parent conference will be requested. After the parent conference, if the inappropriate behaviors still exist, the student will be referred to the office.** **Some situations may result in immediate office referrals regardless of the number of documentations. The discipline plan starts over each semester (every 2 nine weeks).
