Goals

 

We are delighted to welcome your 8th grader to the Oak Team. Our goals for this year are:

                                                                 1. to foster an appreciation for education

                                                                 2. to build self-esteem

                                                                3. to teach responsibility and self-discipline

                                                                4. to provide a safe learning environment

 

Rules

 

1.  Follow the rules and regulations outlined in the handbook.

2. Be prepared for class

3. Perfumed items such as perfume, lotions, and cologne are not allowed.

 

Policies

 

As part of our effort to prepare your child for success, we try to encourage the

 students to develop self-discipline and responsibility. Students are expected to turn in

 assignments on time so that penalties will not have to be assessed. Students are

 expected to follow the dress code outlined in the handbook or be prepared to suffer

 the consequences. Please encourage your child to be in class on time everyday.

 

 

 

Parent Conference

 

 

Parent/Teacher conferences can be scheduled by calling    248-2206.

 

We will be available to meet from 7:30-7:55 and 9:05-10:25 most days of the week.

 

Please call in advance to schedule an appointment.

Grading scale

 

We will follow the Decatur County grading scale.

 

   A: 90-100

B: 80-89

C: 70-79

     F: Below 70
