These Bearcats are spending their summer gaining valuable real-world experience, building important workplace and communication skills, and working alongside employees throughout the Decatur County School System and Board of Education.

From organizing materials and assisting with daily operations to learning the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and professionalism, our interns are getting a firsthand look at what it takes to keep our district moving forward.

📸 The photos featured in this post were captured by Public Relations Intern Chloe Meredith, who is sharpening her photography and storytelling skills while helping share the great things happening across our school system.

We're proud of these students for investing in their future and making the most of this opportunity.

In accordance with Governor Brian Kemp’s order, flags are being flown at half-staff today, May 15, 2026, as a mark of respect for the officers who serve and in memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
